Hi Guys,<\/p>\n

Today I\u2019m bringing you a Zebra pattern! This Zebra was a co-creation made by Sharon Ojala and me. Sharon has a collection called Little Bigfoot, which is composed by many different animals! However, she didn\u2019t have a Little Bigfoot Zebra pattern, so, I asked her permission if it was possible to modify her Bear pattern to create a Zebra and she was to kind for giving me her permission! ^^ What I created it was only the head, the zebra mane and the tail.<\/p>\n

Materials:<\/p>\n

– Black and white yarn;<\/p>\n

– Black felt or Safety eyes;<\/p>\n

– White felt;<\/p>\n

– Hairbrush;<\/p>\n

– Fiberfill;<\/p>\n

– 4mm or 3.75mm crochet hook;<\/p>\n

– Tapestry needle;<\/p>\n

– Contact glue (it is only necessary if you are going to made the eyes using felt);<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Notes:<\/p>\n

– I worked joining rounds. I recommend you to use this method, because if you don\u2019t, the stripes will be irregular and won\u2019t look good;<\/p>\n

– To make the stripes I crocheted 2 rounds using black yarn and then 2 rounds using white yarn;<\/p>\n

– I used a 4mm crochet hook, but, Sharon collection uses a 3.75mm crochet hook, so, if you are going to make her collection, I recommend you to use the 3.75mm hook;<\/p>\n

– For sewing the pieces together you will use the tapestry needle;<\/p>\n

– To make the eyes you can cut two small balls of black felt and then glue them to the face or you can make the eyes using safety eyes;<\/p>\n

– To make the nose you can cut two \u201cx\u201d of white felt and glue them to the face or you can sew the two \u201cx\u201d on the face using white yarn.<\/p>\n

– Everytime I will do a crochet work, the first thing I do is take a look in the entirely pattern before start doing it, so, I can have an idea of how the pattern works. Well, I recommend you to do the same;<\/p>\n

Round 1:\u00a0 5 sc in MR (5)
\nRound 2-8: 1sc in each st for 10 rows (5)
\nFinish off leaving a long tail for sewing.<\/p>\n

**To make the hair at the end of the tail you will need to cut some pieces of black yarn, because you will pull it through some stitches on the end of the tail. Pull the black yarn through each stich and then tie a knot. Do it as many times as you wish, until you think that is enough. After that, untangle the yarn and then brush it with the hairbrush.<\/p>\n

-Mane (desiged by Ana Am\u00e9lia Mendes Galv\u00e3o):<\/p>\n

To make the zebra\u2019s mane you will use black yarn. Cut many pieces of black yarn, because you will use them to pull through some stitches on the back of the zebra\u2019s face. You will pull the yarn through each stich in two vertical rows starting from Round number twelve from head until the neck. After pulling the yarn through one stich you will tie a knot. After you finish this part, you will untangle the yarn and then brush it with the hairbrush. Finally, cut the excess until you get the mane on the desired height.<\/p>\n
