Mini Hobbes Pattern

Hi hi!

I’ve finally finished another very old project, which is related to Calvin and Hobbes comic. It’s Hobbes in the version imagined by Calvin ^_^ I took an eternity to finish this pattern, because I had to do five Hobbes at the same time (uhgh), which were gifts to my best friends and to my boyfriend.

I’m thinking about doing Calvin too, however, first I want to finish another project hehe.

Part 2.

Now that the base of his hand is done, it’s time to make his fingers. I didn’t used a pattern to make his fingers, because they are too small. What I’ve done was divide his hand in three pieces and crochet around 4~5~6 stitches in each round of each finger until it has gotten the desired lenght.

So, first, mentally divide his hand in three pieces, one for each finger. Then, attach the yarn in the place that will be between the first and the second finger, ch 3 and sl st in the opposite side.

** Assembly:

1. Cut a piece of wire (soft galvanized thin wire) in a size bigger than his tail. Put it inside his tail, after you have stuffed it. Stick the wire into his body (in the place where you are going to sew his tail) until you almost reach Hobbes’ neck. Then sew his tail to the body.

2. Sew the other pieces together;

3. Cut a piece of wire (soft galvanized thin wire) and pass it through his arms and body as shown in the photo bellow. Then, cut and hide the tips of the wire. This will allow his arms to be poseable.
