Luke Cage

Hey Guys!

Today’s pattern is based on a netflix new series, that debuted on september 30th. Yes, I’m talking about Luke Cage from Marvel! I really enjoyed the series, although it isn’t my favorite marvel series, but I think it was cool. I had a hard time to decide if I should make Luke in his originals clothes or f I should make him using one of the hoodies he wears in the series. Well, after much thought, I decided that not everybody would know Luke’s original clothes, so I thought it would be best to make him with one of the clothes he wears in the series.

Also, as I am a brazilian, I’m now translating all my patterns and I’m publishing this pattern in english and in portuguese (br). Plus, I’m also uploading a video on my Youtube page, teaching how to do this pattern. The video is completely in portuguese, but I think that it can still help you to figure out how to do any piece that you are having trouble, just because of the visual part. I’m thinking about put english subtitles or make the same video with the audio in english, I will see… The link to the video is here (pattern starts at 4 min):

Materials:

– Yellow, navy, black, white, brown and blue yarn (I used 100% cotton yarn Barroco by Circulo, which is a bulky / 12 ply (7wpi));
– Thin black yarn to embroider (I used 100% cotton yarn Anne by Circulo, which is a Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi));
– 4mm crochet hook;
– Fiberfill;
– Tapestry needle, needle and scissors;
– Safety eyes 13mm;
– Pins.

Notes:

– I always do my crochet works using continuous rounds. I will let you know when you have to join rounds;
– Everytime I will do a crochet work, the first thing I do is take a look in the entirely pattern before start doing it, so, I can have an idea of how the pattern works. Well, I recommend you to do the same;
– For sewing the pieces together you will use the tapestry needle;

Recently, I’m having a hard time to answer all the questions sent to my email and the comments. I’m sorry that I’m not able to answer your doubts. However, if you have any doubt, I’m sure that it is worth to leave a comment here, because even if I can’t answer you, I’m sure that someone in the community will try to help you out ^^
