Lucario – cute / chibi version

Hi guys!! Today I’m uploading this Lucario pattern, it’s a cute version of the character. Hope you like it! ^^

Materials:

– Blue, black and light yellow yarn (I used 100% cotton yarn Barroco by Circulo, which is a bulky / 12 ply (7wpi));
– Thin white yarn to make his spikes (I used 100% cotton yarn Anne by Circulo, which is a Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi));
– 4mm crochet hook;
– 2mm crochet hook (only to crochet his spikes);
– Tapestry needle, needle, scissors, transparent contact glue, paint brush and hair brush;
– Fiberfill;
– Black felt to make the “inside” of his ears and white felt to make his eyes;
– Red, black and white fabric paint.

Notes:

– I always do my crochet works using continuous rounds. I will let you know when you have to join rounds;
– Everytime I will do a crochet work, the first thing I do is take a look in the entirely pattern before start doing it, so, I can have an idea of how the pattern works. Well, I recommend you to do the same;
– For sewing the pieces together you will use the tapestry needle;

Recently, I’m having a hard time to answer all the questions sent to my email and the comments. I’m sorry that I’m not able to answer your doubts. However, if you have any doubt, I’m sure that it is worth to leave a comment here, because even if I can’t answer you, I’m sure that someone in the community will try to help you out ^^

  1. Can someone help me please. Im having some trouble with the leg. I see you crochet front loop only for the last row in blue but then when i go in the back loop for back do i crochet the 6 in the back loops as well? Im confused and want this to look right.

    1. You can start with a magic circle or chain 2 and do all your stitches into the second chain. both work the same its preference.

  2. Hi I am trying to make your lucario but I am having trouble with the head. The color changes are not coming out even at all. The black part that runs up and down on his head, is that just 3 sc each time? Because I think that is where I get confused. Please help me if you can. Thank you.

    1. This is the only place I have gotten stuck so far and I’m almost done with this guy. Pay attention to where she instructs to increase first in one color and then in another bc that is how you will keep that black stripe even.

  3. OMG MY FAVOURITE POKEMON! Thanks sooooo much for this! There is never enough patterns for Lucario! You did a fantastic job on him, he’s adorable!
