Fruits Basket Zodiac Animals

Hi hi!

These days, I decided to finish a project that I’ve started in september of 2012, but I’ve never finished, because I had no patience to it >.<” The project is related to the manga Fruits Basket, do you know? It has also an animated version with the same title:

FruitsBasket
Fruits Basket

It is one of the best mangas I’ve ever read and I love it with all my heart! :3 The story is about an orphan girl, Tohru Honda, who accidentally discovered that the Sohma family has a curse. Their members are possessed by the animals of the Chinise Zodiac and when they are weak, stressed, or when they are embraced by anyone of the opposite sex (that is not possessed by a zodiacal spirit) they turn into their animal forms. From this moment on, she will get involved with the members of this family and she will try to help them to break the curse. You should give it a try, I’m sure you will love it! :)

So, as I am a big fan of the story, I thought it would be great to make some amigurumis based on the characters and that’s why I created these amigurumis! They are all based on the animal forms of each character and I also did Tohru, which is represented by an Onigiri :)

When I started this project I decided to use the common worsted yarn, the same I’ve used on my other patterns, as Charizard, Snorlax and Gengar. All the animals and Tohru are made with cheap worsted yarn and the pattern is designed to this yarn, so I don’t know how it will turn out if you use a thinner yarn.

They measure about 8cm each (3 inches).

That’s it. Hope you like them ^_^

I did not created this characters, they are all copyright of Natsuki Takaya!!

El libro es de Sarah Brown y es basicamente copia y pega de instrucciones. Gracias por entregar la Version con imagenes.

  2. Hi Ms.Mia. I was wondering if you could possibly make the Shigure pattern as big as the Snorlax. My cousin really want one that big. I would appreciate it if you could.

  3. I have read the series almost twice! (I borrow them from my school library!) I really REALLY love this manga! I am yet to watch the anime someday, I love Kyo the best, hotheads are always make anime really great and funny! Thank you so much for this!

  4. I love your patterns and Furuba! I tried the onigiri first and she turned out so cute and tiny. :3 However, I’m not sure how to start Shigure… I’m new to crocheting and it’s just not clicking. How do you switch from a row to a round and how do you fit 6 stitches in a chain 4 without all of them being increases? I’ll try the others first since none of them seem to have this issue. Thanks!

  5. These are cute I want to try to make them. I love Fruits Basket. I was wondering van I make them bigger? How would I?
